Bicmae, is a scientific publication that presents the outcomes of community engagement activities encompassing the fields of Social Sciences, Education, Science, Sports, Languages, Business and Economics, Management, Border Areas, and Underdeveloped Regions, which have not been previously published. This publication ethics statement is an agreement among all parties involved in the publication process of the Borneo International Conference Of Management, Accounting and Economy, including managers, editors, collaborators, and authors. This publication ethics statement adheres to the Head of Indonesian Institute of Sciences (LIPI) Regulation No. 5 of 2014 concerning the Code of Scientific Publication Ethics. The ethics of scientific publication uphold three ethical values in publishing:

a) Neutrality, which excludes elements of conflicts of interest in publication management;

b) Fairness, which involves granting authorship rights to those who are eligible as authors; and

c) Honesty, which prohibits duplication, fabrication, falsification, and plagiarism (DF2P) in publications.

Roles and Responsibilities of Journal Managers

1. Determine the journal's name, scope of expertise, periodicity, accreditation submission in accordance with requirements, and establish editorial board memberships.
2. Define the relationships between the publisher, editor, peer reviewers, and related parties as outlined in a contract.
3. Respect matters of confidentiality, whether pertaining to contributing researchers, authors, editors, or collaborators.
4. Implement norms and regulations regarding intellectual property rights, especially copyright.
5. Review journal policies and communicate them to authors, editorial board members, collaborators, and readers.
6. Compile rule guidelines and codes of conduct for editors, collaborators, and ensure regular journal publication.
7. Provide funding sources for the sustainability of journal publication.
8. Establish collaborative networks with research institutions, relevant authorities, and prepare necessary licenses and legal aspects.

Roles and Responsibilities of Editors

1. Align the needs of readers and authors, striving for continuous improvement of publication quality.
2. Implement processes to ensure the quality of published written works.
3. Uphold freedom of expression and safeguard the academic integrity of authors' track records.
4. Provide corrections, clarifications, and apologies when necessary.
5. Be responsible for the style and format of scientific writing, while authors are accountable for statements in published works.
6. Actively seek input from authors, readers, peer reviewers, and editorial board members to enhance publication quality.
7. Conduct regular internal evaluations of the quality of scientific journals.
8. Embrace openness to new opinions or perspectives that might contradict personal opinions for the advancement of knowledge.
9. Encourage authors to revise their works until they meet publication standards and support authors' initiatives concerning publication ethics, including including a conflict of interest form with each submission.
10. Avoid making subjective decisions by not maintaining personal opinions.

Roles and Responsibilities of Peer Reviewers

1. Review written works, provide feedback to editors for determining the suitability of a written work for publication and recommend improvements according to established standards.
2. Peer reviewers should not review written works in which they are involved.
3. Offer suggestions and positive recommendations for scientific manuscript drafts.
4. Maintain the privacy of authors by not disseminating correction results, suggestions, and recommendations for a manuscript and encourage manuscript improvement.
5. Conduct timely reviews of written works according to the surrounding publication style based on scientific principles (data collection methods, author legality, conclusions, and others) that have been established.

Roles and Responsibilities of Authors

1. Confirm that those listed as authors meet the criteria for authorship.
2. Collectively take responsibility for the work and content of the article, including methods, analysis, calculations, and necessary details.
3. Disclose the sources of resources (including funding), both direct and indirect.
4. Explain efforts made to improve research.
5. Pay heed to comments made by peer reviewers and editorial boards in a professional, scholarly, and timely manner.
6. Provide written notice to the editor if they intend to retract their manuscript.
7. Make a statement that the submitted manuscript is original, has not been published anywhere in any language, and is not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
